Cangli e.V.Cangli Community is a non-profit association founded by Chinese women in Germany, here to support Chinese women living and working in Germany and across Europe. We're all about building an inclusive, supportive and empowering community—both online and in person — where Chinese people, especially women, can grow, connect, and thrive in both their personal and professional lives while living abroad.
The name Cangli combines two pioneering Chinese women’s communities in Germany:Red Koi (红锦鲤)社区和and Pearls in the Vast Sea (沧海明珠).社区。
Red Koi, founded in 2022 by Qiao Zhang, focuses on women’s professional growth and leadership development through book clubs, roundtables, coaching dialogues, and workshops.
Pearls in the Vast Sea, established in 2021 by Kunling Wei and Ning Lang, helps full-time parents re-enter the German workforce, with 20+ events covering job hunting, retraining, entrepreneurship, and German language learning.
In 2023, the two communities merged out of their aligned values and shared passion of supporting others and growing together. The name Cangli was born—each character taken from the original communities. Their first joint event was the “Chinese Leadership Forum: Balancing Career & Family” in Frankfurt, which received enthusiastic feedback from over 50 participants.
Following this success, Cangli continued to host impactful events in 2024, including four large online sessions, each attracting nearly 100 attendees. The second in-person forum, “Life Without Limits”, took place in Stuttgart in November 2024 and was again met with high praise from over 60 participants.
To embrace an extraordinary life amid the complexity of our journey, we need creativity, curiosity, and courage — that's how a life becomes meaningful and whole.
To support long-term, sustainable growth, we’re also formally registering as a non-profit association under the name C.A.N.G.L.I. e.V. This acronym stands for:
Chinese-German Association of Networking, Growth, Leadership and Inclusion.
representing our mission to foster exchange, personal growth, development in leadership & inclusion and cultural dialogue.

Our Mission
To support individuals—especially women—through life’s different stages in realizing their self-worth, maintaining wellness, and cultivating meaningful, fulfilling lives.

The format of the event was very fresh, open, and creative, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The topics were highly relevant to real-life work and personal needs—I learned so much and felt deeply inspired. Thank you for the mentor sessions and the follow-up support. I hope to continue applying and practicing what I’ve learned!

A heartfelt thank you to Cangli Society for hosting this event. I feel lucky and proud to have taken part. I met so many beautiful souls here, and it reminded me of the endless possibilities within each person. Everyone has their own values and ways of being, and I’ve learned that I don’t need to feel ashamed or inferior for being different. I’ve gained so much from this event—even if I can’t put everything into words yet, I know this will be a slow and meaningful process of reflection and growth.
Dear Cangli Society, thank you so much for creating this platform and offering these activities and experiences. As someone still finding my way, I’ve gained so much inspiration, strength, and emotion from you. Through this community, I’ve felt the warmth and unity I’ve long missed.
I feel so lucky and grateful to have found you after these three tough years of the pandemic.
You are truly amazing—confident, calm, and strong! I hope that one day I can also become one of you.
I’m so happy to have joined this event! I met so many amazing people, learned new things, and deepened my understanding of myself. I was inspired by new ideas, touched by others’ stories, and most of all, joyful to rediscover my true self. Time flies when you're among like-minded souls.
I hope future events will continue to explore topics like life, career, and relationships. I look forward to participating in more meaningful gatherings and hearing more from the mentors.
Thank you to the organizers for your thoughtful planning and generous efforts. I’m truly grateful!
First of all, thank you for thoughtfully organizing and planning this offline event in Stuttgart—we had a wonderful time. Wishing you continued success in the future!
It’s true that women’s voices are often less heard in the workplace compared to men. But beyond career paths, women deserve to be seen in other aspects as well. I hope future topics will not only focus on careers, but also explore hobbies, side projects, and other areas of growth.
