Lanterns light up the night; our hearts illuminate our dreams.<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

On the evening of the Lantern Festival, over 30 Cangli members gathered online to celebrate with warmth, reflection, and shared intentions. \nThis wasn\u2019t just a festive meetup\u2014it was a moment of deep connection: to tradition and our roots; to our community, both new and familiar faces; and to our inner visions and dreams.<\/p>\n\n

Co-hosted by Cangli\u2019s organizer Qiao Zhang and life coach Cheng Zeng, the evening revolved around two themes: Dreams and Connection.<\/p>\n\n

Together, we:\nRevisited childhood memories to reconnect with the spark of our inner light.\nUsed meditation and writing to visualize our dreams for 2025.\nReleased those dreams into the sky through guided imagery\u2014trusting they will grow in time.<\/p>\n\n

Honoring Tradition: One Lantern, One Wish<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

From ancient rituals to modern celebration, the Lantern Festival marks renewal and hope.<\/p>\n\n

For centuries, people have celebrated this day by eating sweet glutinous rice balls, admiring lantern displays, and releasing sky lanterns\u2014entrusting their wishes to the heavens, letting their dreams travel with the light.<\/p>\n\n

Inspired by these traditions like, the gathering unfolded in three parts:\nLantern Encounters: Reconnecting with each other\nFull Moon Wishes: Reconnecting with our dreams\nLantern Light Flow: Releasing our intentions\nIn a modern setting, we rekindled the gentle warmth of tradition.<\/p>\n\n

Lantern Encounters: Childhood Dreams Resurface<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Each attendee was randomly matched with two others to chat and reflect:<\/p>\n\n

\u201cWhat was your childhood dream?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The answers sparkled\u2014pilot, actor, diplomat, writer, farmer in a quiet land.<\/p>\n\n

Though varied, every story carried the same light in the eyes: a reminder of the brave, curious child within us all.<\/p>\n\n

Full Moon Wishes: Reconnecting with our dreams<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

\u201cIf today were the last day of 2025, how would you look back on it?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Guided by Coach Cheng, we closed our eyes and journeyed to the last day of 2025\u2014feeling the space around us, our inner state, the people beside us, and the touch of dreams that had quietly come true.<\/p>\n\n

Writing by a sunlit window\u2014her dream of becoming a writer finally realized.<\/p>\n\n

Sharing a quiet family moment\u2014simple, yet profoundly fulfilling.<\/p>\n\n

In the end, happiness and dreams may not be grand destinations\u2014they live in our presence, in moments deeply felt, voices truly heard, and passions quietly pursued.<\/p>\n\n

Releasing Light: A Sky Full of Dreams<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As the night deepened, Qiao led a final meditation.<\/p>\n\n

Eyes closed, we imagined placing our wishes into sky lanterns and watching them rise\u2014floating gently into the stars.<\/p>\n\n

The message: Trust the process. Dreams grow when nurtured with time and action.<\/p>\n\n

Reflections: A Gentle Space for the Soul<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As the event came to a close, the chat lit up with heartfelt words:<\/p>\n\n

\u201cIt felt like a spa for the soul.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI hadn\u2019t listened to my dreams in so long.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI feel less alone, hearing everyone\u2019s sharing.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In the glow of lanterns and community, we remembered what matters:<\/p>\n\n
